"The Lazy Suns was founded in 1997 by band leader Marc Clayton. Since that time, the band has played many hundreds of shows along the East Coast, Mid-west, and great North country of The Adirondack Region where the current outfit now resides. Inspired by bands such as The Beatles, The Flying Burrito Brothers, The Byrds, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers to name a few, the band can jump from Rootsy Twangy Country Rock to straight up Rock and Roll in a heartbeat. Some of the Suns songs have been featured on Emmy award winning Discovery Channel reality show "The Deadliest Catch" as well as National Geographic Channel's "The Yard".
The late great Gregg Haymes (Sgt. Blotto) voted the Lazy Suns full length 2016 album "Bar, Hotel, Music" as one of his favorite 2016 releases. On air personality Kirsten Ferguson voted it one of her top 10 albums of 2016, Radio host Jim Barret voted it his top 5 releases of 2016, as well as Andrew Gregory of Nippertown who also voted it one of his top 5 albums of the same year.
