The highly anticipated third solo release “Awakening” is the newest album from Composer/Pianist Andy Iorio. Written and recorded over the past two years, “Awakening” will feature not only solo piano pieces, but full piano and string arrangements as well. This concert will be the third performance of the Awakening Tour. This will include an intimate performance of the entire new album as well as select pieces from his previous two albums; “After The Rain” and “II”. Performance will feature Andy's String Ensemble: Tania Halko Susi on violin/viola and Meg Harwood on cello.

Composer/Pianist Andy Iorio’s new release, “Awakening” is grounded in his trademark emotionally moving melodies with a lush, vibrant string section. His original compositions give quiet impressions of serenity while carrying simple tonality. Its harmonies fluid and controlled run toward something both bare and natural. Andy is an internationally recognized composer/pianist with 3 albums to his credit. Nominated by the HMMA Awards in Los Angeles for his piece "Rush" in 2016 and again for the title track from his latest album "Awakening" in 2019, Andy's music is listened to and streamed in over 96 countries, with over 10k monthly listeners on Spotify, Pandora and Apple Music combined as well as over 25k views on his YouTube music videos. His music is piano driven with a cinematic and vibrant contemporary classical string section. Pulling from the influences of Ludovico Einaudi, Max Richter and George Winston, his music is passionate, weaving together beautiful melodies with a layered harmonic structure and texture. He is currently working on his fourth studio album set to release in late 2022.

Awakening is about finding the strength within yourself to rise above. Whether it be mind, body or spirit, we all have an awakening at some point in our lives... finding the strength from your own personal journey to become the person you are meant to be. So many will challenge you, oppose you, try to dim your light. This will come from a stranger or even someone you know... or thought you knew. As hard as it may seem to overcome these challenges, always choose love over hate. Look deep inside yourself and believe that you are enough. There is only one “you” in the universe... one spirit. Don't ever be afraid to be who you are, to shine your light as bright as you can to help those who are lost find their way home.
